So apparently if your hips are larger than 34.5 inches, you’re fat. Or at least that’s what Elite Model Management told Ananda Marchildon. Although the average hip size in Europe is 40.5 inches, Elite wants “petite” since Couture clothing is only made for one size. An Elite lawyer made a point to say that “This is not something agencies can change.” Marchildon says her contract was terminated almost an entire year before it was supposed to expire and she was refused $85,000 of the $99,000 in winnings she was to receive after Holland’s Next Top Model. Marchildon’s lawyer said that a spokesman for Elite Model Management said that “although she has a nice face, she has a fat ass.” In Elite’s defense, the agency says they only fired Marchildon because whe was unable to find work as a model. All I have to say is…REALLY?!?
